I built this computer for about $1000 once everything was in it and it can run virtually any game/program (except for Auto CAD perhaps) on the market. The closest Mac Pro, Apple’s line of desktops, runs at about $2499, and it still lacks the power of my PC. The closest iMac, again, still lacking in power, is $2000.
So, essentially your saying you’d rather pay at least $1000 more for a Mac just for an operating system that lets you run and do almost nothing?

hey i have this in 64bit with windows I7 920. i have 6gig ram installed but my bios says 4088MB usable, does this mean indows is using the other 1Gig. i know vista does.
any help would be greatly appreciated
I think this isnt really that good of a release of the pc since the mac and pc were designed for 2 different things the mac for arty things and the pc well just about everything else eg spreadsheets, wordproccesing (it might just be my schools mac dont have that though) the mac is for people with not much real intrest in computers but like other things that can be aided by computers this is smudging the line a lil to much for me since i like things o be clear and i think the pc is easy to use.
i do try and give pcs credit but its hard when they aren’t good as my mac at home. pc users just don’t get that macs are good and don’t cost a lot. if pcs sat down and compared pcs and a mac like they should they would see they are better unless you are a hardcore gamer or some crazy crap then i could see buying a super awesome pc.
i know its the same hardware. thats what i’m saying. Mac has it put in different or something because all pcs i’ve ever used have never been as good as my mac. i have a mac mini one of the lowest line of macs.
i hate going to a friends house and using their pc although they are good just because they are slower than my mac. and my school has pcs and they are good but not compared to my mac. it makes no since but it true that macs are better than pcs unless you have loads and loads of money.
God damn windows 7 is badass. Performance is snappy and it has not crashed at all.. I love how it looks. Microsoft finally came out with something good

I must reply to this simply because of your complete lack of factual information.
1.) The hardware on a MAC is the EXACT SAME as that used in a PC, aside from the few revisions they make to the supplied motherboard (such as soldering in the BIOS chip which makes it impossible to run your own BIOS program).
2.) If you see a difference in Windows on a Mac is it simply because you want to see it. The mind sees what it wants to see, and you Mac fanboys seem to see a lot that really isn’t there.
I have approx 30 scars and no upper teeth. I was never a nerd when I was growing up. In fact I hated nerds. I would bust nerds heads. I was a hockey player and a fighter. Now I’m a nerd. Lol.!

You don’t have to right click on that button in the bottom of the super-bar to show the desktop. You can just click on it.
