Who Loves Windows Vista?
go.tagjag.com – During a recent live call, Charles nearly knocked me out of my chair when he proclaimed that he LOVES Windows Vista. I was honestly shocked, especially since the calls were supposed to be about Windows 7. Charles stated emphatically that he never had issues with Vista, and that it actually just worked for him. I liked Vista, after SP1. Before SP1, I had about 11 BSODs. Driver support in Vista was lackluster to begin with, but as more people converted to Vista, driver support was nearly as good as XP. I do have to say, Vista is a resource hog. However if you have the system to run it, Vista looks great, runs great, and overall a good product. I am using Windows 7 at the moment, and it is by far the superior product.

I’ve used Vista as my main OS for years, suck on that. And I probably do hell of alot more things with it then you do because noone could possibly EVER think Vista is good after really used it in more advanced ways. I dont know what to say else then wake up, USE YOUR COMPUTER AND YOU’LL SEE THE CRAPINESS OF VISTA. Dont compare 7 and vista, so many improvements have been made since vista in 7. “Vista for devs” hahahahahahhahaha, still cracks me up you dumb fuck.

I had a blue screen on my old windows 98 and a black screen on xp… I have had 3 coputers die on me!

if you live in a web browser, why bother with windows? ubuntu is MUCH faster, is MUCH better at connecting to networks (shockingly good in fact) and it looks prettier than anything going. plus it’s being updated every day and 9.10 is out in a few days making it even faster.

Yeah i sort of know what your saying, when vista FIRST came out it was some what buggy and at times frustrating, but these were soon resolved- especially with SP1.
How chris gets all these BSOD’s i will never know. See i should be more prone to the BSOD becasue i built my comp and it not off the shelf but it does not seem to be the case. Bottom line win7 is welcomed but not a real upgrade from vista.
I dont know guess everyone has there $0.02 on the issue.
i agree in one way or another. but remember, where did all the rants of vista come from? peoples experiences and reviews! if you remember, some of the reviews were actually positive when vista was first launched, but then the problems started popping up as people used it. but not to say that many people just jumped the bandwagon and also said that vista sucked, like u said, without actually trying it. so my points kinda contradict each other and hopefully i said something that was worth while XD
Okay Chris, so we’ve established Win7 is superior to Vista. Are we all expected to go out and replace the 7 systems I currently own in my home that run Vista now? I have four machines that are less the a year old.
That said what is it that most people don’t like about Vista that Win 7 is superior at doing? I’d be running Win7 if I needed a new system but … so where does this leave us?

is it me or does it always feel that Chris is patronizing anyone that uses vista simply because it did not work with him. I remember seeing his early vista vid when he tried to install it to his main system and it did not work out properly for him- so from that point on hes just like ‘oh vista is bad’. Now everyone is caught up in the culture where its ‘cool’ to say vista is bad without really having given it a proper try.

Vista these days now a lot different (better) than 3 years ago, the problem is that lots of people simply stop using it since it was so bad, hence they hate it hate it and hate it like forever.

Damn! Thanks for the info man. I didn’t know you could get MACS that cheap. I’ll always be a windows user, and appreciate what they’ve given me over the years, but the only reason I have never purchased a MAC was being of the price tag. I might have to give it a shot.
Windows vista was like a bad hair cut you have to deal with get angry but eventually you might be able to fix it are get a new cut (windows 7 ) and ur saved lmao

You need to travel out of the USA , I did over 10 different country saw what type of windows they use, they say its OK with vista. You need to update the window to SP2, then its OK. i am the 2nd one in the world to say that Vista actually worked well. I think Vista is a great Laptop OS. 7 should be renamed Vista.1
